The problem: I've done some really dumb things in my life, but this one probably takes the cake. I'm almost afraid to admit it- I swapped the negative and positve when jump starting my Jeep. I have built and rebuilt many cars from engine to electricals and I'm a pretty smart guy, but I guess we all do stupid things at some point. I was blocking a road and trying to jump start it very quickly and get out of the way, and in my haste somehow my stupid came out.

Now the problem is my door locks, interior lights, and radio don't work. I believe it all ties into the BCM, or Body Control Module. Now if I can just figure out where that sucker is located... anyone wanna help a brother out? I'll share my candy with you. ALSO- consulting my mechanic, Mr. Google, he says that some BCM's have an internal fuse. Does anyone know if Libertys have this?

Thanks! I greatly appreciate it. Is this the fuse panel under the hood on the left side by the battery? I have yet to dissect it, but I didn't see much of anything there. I was expecting a large square box similar to on the older models. Just making sure there's not another fuse panel somewhere else.

No fuse panel inside left side of the dash in behind the door , ( as you open the door it is visible )

In the fuse panel there's a 15 amp fuse for the BCM. Actually, I would check all of the fuses with a DMM. I had that 15amp fuse blow once when one of the wires for the stereo shorted out. Caused the same problems you are having.

Thanks all for the replies. It turns out the BCM fuse was blown. It is not slotted the same as the other fuses- it is located in a white carrier. You have to remove that whole carrier and there is a flap that opens up to get the fuse out. Crazy! It also houses a spare fuse.

Problem solved and I won't have to get a BCM. I have never seen a car with so many fuses.

If you think stock has a lot of fuses, my libby has 5 fuse boxes including the stock two. One for constant power, another for switched ignition, another for all my other things that I turn on via a battery disconnect switch.
