...besides the tool that comes with the set. Because that broke instantly. I was tapping the holes for my tow hitch using a splined socket (I forget what size) that I hammered over the tap. :pp: Well, go figure, the socket split down the middle and can't grip the tap anymore. While I was on the last one. While the tap was still in the Jeep. So it's still currently there. I don't have another socket that size, but will probably just get it replaced and try it again because it's a Craftsman socket. Just looking for other suggestions while I'm at it.

Thanks a bunch!

I used vice grips where I had room one time and another time I used a tap socket with an extension and ratchet where I couldn't get to it. Both worked well. For a hitch bolt hole you should have pleanty of room and vice grips or a crescent wrench should work good.

use a 3/8 inch extension backwards and put a wrench on the extension male end. Will get it out.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone :) Vice grips haven't seemed to work to get this one out. The hitch bolt hole itself had 0 threads in it, so it was a very difficult spin, and the vice grips aren't cutting it, surprisingly. Probably because the don't have good grip on em anymore, so I may try buying a brandy new one and going that route.

Cheers all! :)
