Went down Chehalis FSR with thr boys
First real opportunity to test out the clutch LSD in the rear and the truetrac torsen LSD in the front. The rear performed amazingly, really feel the bite when it engages. Hard to say about the front, since I think it would be more of a factor when cruising down the super dry roads, but that said I was also in RWD the entire time, with exception of the one section before the lake where the rear is pretty beat up. So the jury is still out on the truetrac lsd. In full time 4x4 it should have very good road manners. The FWD escape that was with us had a hard time. The 2025 tacoma and the 2001 grand cherokee had the easiest time, with the grand cherokee (LSD front and rear with LSD in t-case w/4L) making it look the easiest.

I have a NOS mopar rear sway bar to replace the rusty one on my Jeep. Today I went to install it and the Moog bushings I had were too big for the bar diameter. Apparently they were for a 22mm bar, but mine is 20.17mm in diameter, same as the old one (measured with calipers). I ordered some new Mopar bushings today from RockAuto and crossed my fingers that they will fit. (52125391AC, same as the number on the original bushings except those were -AB.)

I sort of remember the KK suspension got re-tuned for 09. @CheddarGau am I remembering right? Maybe the stabilizer bar went to 22mm diameter after that.

I'll have a look at part numbers later on.

The Jeep is healing itself. The chain tensioner rattle has gone from being an all the time sound when the engine oil is hot to being a little bit of noise when the engine oil reaches some magical temperature and then going away completely. I've been doing shorter OCI's to try and clean out the engine and now I'm wondering if some of the problem is/was sludge impeding oil travel. I'm tentatively watching what happens and driving it pretty sparingly until I figure out what I'm doing.
Run a quick interval OC with some Marvel Mystery Oil in it. Follow label instructions..

THEN, after the OC, use Lucas Oil Stabilizer for high mileage engines. Again, follow label. See what happens. If the noises don't go, deadline the vehicle and dig in. These engines are known for timing chain tensioner and lifter (actually, hydraulic lash adjuster) issues. Plenty of info on YouTube. I had to do head gaskets about 10 months ago and did a Cloyes timing set and lifters (again, yes I know that's not actually what they are...). Really not difficult, just time consuming.

The blower motor I replaced 2 months ago...is TU already. POS!
I don't know what I was thinking, buying a Chinesium brand on Amazon. May have been a situation of 'all I can find in stock'. But now I've ordered a replacement for the replacement. Oh well. I knew it wouldn't be long for the earth when the connector didn't fit. Fortunately I had the presence of mind to wire in some Powerpole connectors and put the original plug in the glovebox, also with Powerpoles on it.
New part is a Four Seasons, so I expect good experience with it. In fact I suspect when I have to deal with it again in several years, to be wondering "what dumb ******* wired powerpoles in and then installed the OEM plug?"

So, you know.... Remind me....

Pretty sure clutches aren't available for the Trash lock.
Factory ones were made by Dana and went in a lot of vehicles. Clutches are a wearable component, and are definitely a rebuildable component. There is good money in it for manufacturers vendors and shops. LSD'S aren't a magic bullet, but they do contribute a meaningful Improvement over open diff.

 though not surprised
I’ve used Four Seasons AC parts on several vehicles over the years and they have been solid.

Ok I looked up the bushings and there are 3 part numbers available. 52125391AC is the updated part number to the one that is in your vehicle. I'm not sure what size the other two part numbers are, but I expect it could have to do with 4wd vs 2wd or nitro vs liberty, performance package, etc.

Other part numbers: 52125324AC and 68044687AA in case you have the will to look into them

They are my go-to for anything they make.. Kind of like Moog for suspension parts, and Energy Suspension for bushings. Really don't know why I didn't put their product in 2 months ago.
But Friday, I will be.

This should be a great thread that we can keep going. That way we can all keep up with the small day to day tinkering and give some ideas to those looking to do something! Pics are strongly encouraged!!! (Cheers)

If you're having trouble sussing this out, try looking the bushing PNs up on O'Reilly, (et Al) and check the details. They should list the ID of the bush in MM and Inch, as well as other relevant details.

I am kind of known for putting things together that never came together.. Like my 89 S10 (Dana 44s front and rear, 5.7L SBC, ****** from a HMMWV, etc). This ability to research parts has saved me days of pouring through catalogs and thousands of dollars of 'buy it, measure it, and return the ones that don't work'.

Learn to use a digital caliper, and make friends with the old guy at the parts store. More often than not he's done this a while and is worth more than the minimum wage kids.

Took my son to work this morning, as he has a class out of town for the week and doesn't want to leave 'his' XJ there. Discovered that he has an issue that is glazing his brand new serp belt, so instead of using the XJ today, I deadlined it and took it back home til he replaces the alternator pully and tensioner. Also, he needs to address adjusting the brake light switch to get the brake lights working properly.... It's only been going on for months. - rolls eyes -

Ordered the relays for the 'post-run' fan circuit, since I installed the modded upper rad hoses on the KJ and XJ. The XJ is still having a touch of vapor lock, but I am pleased that the flex fan conversion has increased the cooling efficiency a great deal... Ie, I can sit in traffic with the air running and not overheat.
