Trying to get the drivers door open was a challenge...
The cracking sound, trying to break the door seal was scary!
I thought I ripped it apart for sure!! All is well though..time to "break" out the silicone spray!!
The Jeep started in protest in the -5 temps & I thought it was going to stall, but it kept going.
I let it warm for 30 minutes, cause that thick layer of pema ice on the windshield, would have broken my plastic scraper anyways! :icon_lol:
The spray nozzles were frozen solid. Broke out the hair dryer to fix those!! :gr_grin:

Another dusting here today and temps in the low 20s (F) this morning. Only got a few inches from that Wednesday storm. Still cold and some of it is still hanging around, but actually went and played some catch and hit some fly balls to my daughter. She heads back to school tomorrow. Made the roof a bit slick for putting up some holiday lights. I'm sure many of you out there got quite a bit already. I personally really like the winter. Definitely miss my ice fishing days since moving to MD.

No snow here yet. I miss the winters I had in Colorado. Whether it was up in the mountains or in the suburbs of a college town, I loved every minute of it. I've used this bad boy as my scraper since then and it works very well:Holiday Closed Signs Banks and Credit Unions Haha! Funny way for the link to post.

Those scrapers look like they work very well!
I never do the front windshield though. I dont want to risk scratches, just let jeep warm up on 3/ defrost, & clear with a squeegee.
I always lift the wipers up after heat has been on them for a while & clean the blade surfaces.
Never attempt to turn the stuck or frozen into place wipers ON, to an uncleared windshield.
You can damage the motor or connecting rods.

Seeing people use brooms and shovels to take snow of there vehicles is like finger nails on a chalk board for me...
And I live around a lot of these people. Then they wonder where the scratches come from when the car gets cleaned.

I used a soft push broom to clean off our fleet vehicles at a previous job where speed was important and had a lot of missing (blizzard) vehicles. I use just my extendo scraper/squeegee/brush and make sure my Jeep isn't dirty before removing snow. Its not the brush that will get you but the dirt you don't wash off first!

Yep it just doesn't get as cold as it used to here in Maryland. I used to go ice fishing on a farm pond up on the mountain here where I grew up but that was a long time ago. Can even ice skate on the ponds anymore in the winter. 20 degrees one day 50 the next.

I use a squeegee myself. The only time i use the brush side is around the wipers and the bumper mounted lights

Good solid couple inches though melted away with the heat wave we had on Friday and Saturday. Drove like a champ despite the handicap of no 4WD, made it up the hills without failing while others were spinning their tires going nowhere. Had a couple times the rear would slip out on me but quickly recovered, mostly was when I downshifted too soon since I hate braking on winter roads with ABS.
