Hi

Well, I have just pulled the floor mat up and in the passenger side front footwell (we are right hand drive in Aussie, so in left hand front foot well), the place is waterlogged.

I checked under the bonnet (hood?), and there is water on the top of the air con system as well.

Is this a common thing with the KJ?? What does one have to do to repair this problem????

thanks all

Regards

Ray

It is quite common....you need to check the rubber hose that is supposed to drain out the accumulated condensed water vapour out into the engine bay for it to drip onto the ground. It is normal to see a puddle of water below the LHS of the engine after a long hot drive with the air-con working flat out.

You need to trace this pipe and see if it has become detached or has split so that water is running down the inside of the firewall instead of outside.

I seem to recall that there was a TSB about this hose not being fitted properly on some KJs.
