Lots of people have found them at the junkyard. Even a badly mangled wreck victim probably has an intact jack in there.

Mine has a bottle jack. What do you consider "on the cheap"? For $16 ($20 minus 20% coupon) at Harbor Freight gets you a 7.5" 4 ton bottle jack that extends to 15".

Thanks alll!

its a bottle jack that goes under the seat and bolts to the floor.

Yes I can buy just a jack, but it wont stay secure under the seat like the OEM jack but it is a good 2nd choice.

I guess i can call the junk yards for a pick

i dont like bottle jacks for flats, thank God i havent had a flat in a long while!!

The OEM Jack can also be found on ebay. Keep in mind it is a pretty flimsy. (thin metal scissor)

You should only lift with that jack on level ground, and if Jeep is lifted, it is not tall enough to lift without wooden blocks.
When it comes to scissor jacks A GM pick up truck-2500 scissor is 18.5 tall & real wide, thick steel.
You can find them at junk yards, and is what I use for lifted jeep.

Safe and strong with bearing end.
