So lets see if you guys have any idea what the hell has happened here before I take the Libby to the Mech. So I have used my 4x4 part time quite a bit this year. Pretty snowy Michigan winter. But while I was pulling one of my Delivery drivers out of the snow I noticed a clicking and popping noise when the wheels started to roll. Note it only happens when the 4x4 is on. I think I may have bound up the gears, but I don't know that for sure. I am going to have to take her in. I thought I would see what you all think. Let me know.

Check for bad boot on your front driveshaft - transfer case end.

Those are the symptoms mine had when it started to fail.

If its only doing it when in 4 wheel and applying power then like Ry stated CV ( more than likely) I would also guess right side so get ready with an intermediate shaft from Eric and a remanned CV from NAPA 130 bucks total and an hours time
Also do check the rear boot like Jayme mentioned as well since it could be starting to go, but first choice for me is the CV
