Hi all,

I didn't find a thread on this topic.

What sort of grease do you have in hand?

Currently, I have a can of white lithium grease.

I'm looking to grease up the window regulator and door holder.
I'm thinking of getting some teflon grease instead of white lithium grease for that.

I'm also looking to get a can of silicon to protect the window rubber trims , plastic trims and other protection functions.

Thoughts on the teflon grease instead of white lithium grease?
Any other greases and applications that I didn't metion?

Ya silicone spray for window trims is good.
White lithium dont stick all that well & melts away.
I use the red Premium Penzoil 707L wheel bearing grease where sticking is important.

Works great on Jba 4.5 upper ball joints too.
Teflon grease??...never used it on KJ.. Oh I know... that must be useful inside frying pans right? :icon_lol:

I'll be trying this since I have it lying around in my lab

Finish Line Teflon Grease - 3.5 oz. Tube

no lithium in it which is good. I read that lithium grease sort of gums up.

should be comparable to the permatex you posted. Interestingly has better temperature range too.

It it works I'll be putting some of this on the door holder and a few other places around the jeep.

Do you grease up any plastic pieces for smooth functionality? door handles? seats? gear lever? sun shade? seat belt?

On the plastic I dont use anything. If it really is in need as in tight or squeaky on the interior 3/in 1 oil, one or two drops .
Mostly oiling/grease is a magnet for dirt, dust, allergens, pollen, food particles, hair follicles, leading eventually to interior sneezing/wheezing aaaaahchew, ..
Then severe service is required eventually of interior plastic cause I worry about...biological warfare/ & then decontamination :icon_lol:

I think silicon spray lube doesn't gum up much and attract much dirt.
