So.. A Turbocharger kit is available for the KJ for 577$! Anybody has experience with that?
Installation process? added power/torque? off road behavior? MPG? weight? alternatives?

Seems interesting and price point is ok I guess.

Turbos will not work on a 3.7 unless you do a lot of internal modifications , pistons, cams etc $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

You'll be in over your head if you put that on a 3.7

I put a ported Eaton m112 from my Cobra on my 3.7. I did have the blower already and it didn't cost me much for my uncle to do the machine work and fab the intake adapter. I had already started with my engine build a little on the side, but decided to go with upgrades. Still have less then $3k in it.
Cryogenic Treatment of block, crank, and heads
Keith Black forged pistons/rods
AirRam performance CNC heads
Solid lash adjusters
Custom grind cam
Custom crank pulley
36# injectors
Fastman TB
Accel COP's
Etc Etc.

Only running 6psi for now since my trans is slipping like crazy, but once I figure out what to do with the trans I'm going to bump it up. After dyno tuning it put down a tad over 270hp and 300ftlbs of torque.

Yeah, I gotta see this...I've seen it done to a 4.7 V8 in a Ram, but not the 6.

Funny how some won't spend 800 on a decent full spring lift but are so interested in throwing a turbo on a KJ.:happy175::icon_razz::icon_razz:

Plus I do not know why they would want to make a Jeep unreliable (Or more unreliable?)? If you want a turbocharged off road vehicle buy one that was produced that way. Like a CRD or something alike.
