actually if you want a turbo KJ that's not a stinky oil burner, get a 4cyl version and swap an SRT-4 engine into it. :D know of at least one person that's working on it right now and is almost done.

Intake, headers, PCM reflash/tune, 4:10 gears. Best performance out of the 3.7L liberty for your money.

Slightly North of the 49° th. Parallel... In HongC
Skip the intake as the factory air box flows more air than the 3.7 liter needs.
Not to mention that most "Cold air intakes" suck hot under the hood air...
Headers are a waste of money!
PCM flash? Ya, I can see that. Unfortunately you need to send in the PCM
to have it reprogrammed. That means taking your vehicle off the road until
the PCM gets sent back to the end user.
4:10's? Yes most definitely worth every penny with 245-75-16's!
Mind you, I find that it would not be low enough gearing with 32 inch tires.
Damn aluminum front diff!

Ry, I partially agree with you. Under the assumption that th OP wants to improve power for road driving, the 4:10's would be great for stock size wheels/tires. Also, the typical bolt on CAI setups do indeed suck. But I didn't say to go that route. Cooler air means more cfm because the air is more dense, meaning more power. I would build a custom intake, routing into the fender well or down by the fog light area creating a true cold air intake. As far as headers, more air flow means more power, so also not a waste of money. Throw a tune to make the most use of those two modifications and you would gain a noticeable difference in the kj's performance. As far as having a car off the road, simply buy a spare PCM that will be reflashed with all the data from your actual PCM. Just my humble opinion.
