No Rev / No Torque In Drive

My 2005 Liberty CRD won’t rev freely and has very little torque. So far I’ve checked the EGR valve, turbo hoses and connections, engine timing, fuel system pressure, and intake system, all of which appear normal. Despite this, the engine struggles to accelerate and I’m not noticing any unusual noises or obvious leaks.

With a diesel its either fuel or air! Check that the air cleaner is clear - change if necessary - and check when you last changed the fuel filter! Also change if in doubt. Air can also get into the fuel system as it's a suction system so no leaks will be visible. Prime the fuel filter (of air) and see if performance improves!
