transmission problem

Hello guys, this morning something strange happened with my ****** on kj3,7 02...
The transmision doesnt go in 1st gear... When I start it is already in 2nd and if I manually shift in first it doesnt go, it stays in 2nd... then when driving it shifts normally from 2nd to 3rd and so on...
It seems that it is something wrong with 1st gear

First thing to check is the fluid level when "hot" in neutral on level ground.
Should be at full line not over or under just right.
How many miles on this 02 kj?
When was the last time you had it properly serviced at a dealer/flush/filter change?
When you go from neutral into drive, are you able to move forward?

Any engine codes? Check engine light?
