transmission fluid leak at passenger side transmission sensor

Hi all,

I had to replace the crackshaft position sensor yesterday and thought it'd look around to check for any leaks.
I found transmission fluid at the end of a sensor. It's on the passenger side which I think is the transmission oil pressure sensor. No leaks around the trans. pan.

I'm not too sure as I couldn't find a MOPAR replacement with the part number from the FSM.

I think it is 04799758AC and I've only found replacement speed sensors.

I've only been able to find replacements via autozone/o'reilys/NAPA with search phrase 'transmission oil sensor'.

1. Can anyone help confirm that it is indeed the trans. oil pressure sensor?
2. replacement part number?

At the back? That's the transducer, pressure sensor 04799758 and rockauto has it

Having said that, if it's still working, I'd replace the 2 o-rings only. If I did end up having to replace it, I'd go with Mopar only. Learned that one the wrong way with the 2 sensors on the other side.

Any specific O-rings you would recommend?

I'd see if you could find some that are oil-resistant. I know AC o-rings are (they should have multi-packs in your LAPS).

Looks like the extra '0' in front of the part number search on MOPAR online sellers don't help.

What about fuel injection o-rings?

They are fuel-resistant, not oil-resistant.

NAPA has loose nitrile o-rings for purchase. They're out of the right size. will post an update later with the o-ring sizes if successful.

if you have the 45RFE transmission that is the line pressure sensor, i got one from carquest as a replacement as my old one was actually broken, comes with o ring, 45$ lifetime warranty, fixed the leak for me

I was going to just try to replace the o-rings first.
unless you know the dimensions of the o-rings.

Yes on the shipping, but seemed reasonable. I've had some bad experiences with Amazon so try to avoid them even if it cost me a few bucks extra. :icon_lol:

Avondalewholesaleparts was the best with no shipping and no tax charges until the created a new website and removed the old one. Now they charge shipping and tax (if you're in the same state).

I didn't go with that amazon either as I wanted the part the next day.
It's kinda weird that the same local stealership can't price match it's own stealership from a difference city but same state. Not sure how stealerships run.

It's weird how that works with the Mopar dealers. I order Ford and Motorcraft parts all the time at Fordparts.com and pick them up at a local dealer. Great prices, quick availability and no taxes or shipping!
