its really not that hard at all
you just sell your auto jeep and buy a manual jeep, swap done
You would need a manual transmission compatible with your year plus sensors for your year on the trans (if connectors changed...IDK if they did)
Manual trans flywheel, pressure plate, clutch disc, master and slave cylinder, line, pilot bearing, throwout bearing
Complete engine/trans wiring harness
Manual trans PCM (engine computer)
Manual trans pedal assembly
Manual trans tunnel shifter boot plate, shifter boot
Manual trans ignition lock assembly
And more time than it's worth.
New front shaft also and if you have the 242 select trac t-case that must go also as it does not work well behind a manual and why it was never offered behind a manual trans.Likely will need a new rear drive shaft too.

Yeah as long as you do not use the fulltime option it works,in fulltime it creates drivability issues with the clutch and why it was never offered behind a manual trans in the 1st place.242 works great behind an ax5 and ax15 in an xj, so I am not sure where you get that opinion
