Trans fluid drain and refill...

I'm putting in a large parts order for the 06 Lib with 3.7 and auto. Included on the list are trans filter, gasket, and fluid.

Question: How much fluid is typically needed when just dropping the pan and changing the filter?

(ATF +4 type of course. I guess that's religion around here)

2006 so definitely the 42RLE.

Walmart supertech ATF+4 would be the cheapest.

FSM also agrees with post #2 ^ at 4 Quarts..

It is good to have an extra quart on hand, as bringing it to the full line on dipstick, may require a bit more.

* If you have a 42RLE PML aluminum pan, 1.25 more quarts is required.
