Trac-Lok Differential??

How can I tell if I have the Rear Trac-Lok Differential? I hope I have it.

Thinking I might have one since my transfer case looks different from the basic one in the owners manual.

There should be a green sticker on the passenger side differential tube

what do you mean by your t-case looks different? that doesn't play any roll in if you have Trac-lok. it's all on the rear axle. like what digger said. look for the green sticker on passanger side.

also, i thought u had a 2wd?

you have 1 of 2 T-cases
NP231 or NP242
neither have boo to do with having trash lock ,I mean track lock
If you have it then you should have 2 metal tags bolted to the rear diff cover
or as others stated the green sticker
how ever IIRC when the put the TC/ESP stuff in there they dropped the LSD option
either way with 80K you would have an open diff as the clutches will be gone

Dealer replaced clutch pack in mine at 26k miles !

So it was Trac-Lost....yupnope.gif

Um...you're 2wd, so no x fer case....

I doubt that you do have Trac Lok, as that was only on 4x4's with the off road package. And yes, if you did have it, it'd would be little more than an open diff now.

His SIG "*don't need 4wd my 2wd goes through fields just fine* " basically says he has a 2wd, so there would be no Xfer case, and no Track Lock.

Correct me If I'm wrong, but I believe the 06 and 07 KJs aren't available with an LSD because of the ESP and TCS systems.
