Towing Hitch Question

Hello,

I had a quick question that someone might know. I found a trailer hitch at a local salvage yard for $70. It's on an '02. Will this fit my '04?

Check out where the hitch mounts to your Jeep. Sometimes(most of the time) the bolts that are welded inside of the frame get rusty and its hard to get the bolts in. Sometimes it requires a tap be ran through the hole.

Just a heads up.

If you need to run a tap through the frame bolts you will need a M12x1.75 tap.

That is a classic thing I can see myself getting hung up on.

The bolt directly above the muffler was a pain in the side for me. I ended up getting a set of box-ratchets (smaller than a standard ratchet wrench) to help with that one. With the right tools, it should be a 15-30 minute job. Took me ~2hrs.

I am just going to assume the bolts I will need are M12x1.75. If I get a hitch without bolts how long should they be?

At least 40mm long,10.9 hardness.

I found a hitch from an '02. That should also fit my '07 correct? Or did the changes include the rear mounts as well?
