I'm putting on an OME 1.5 lift with HD springs. I have a set of 16x8 Moabs. What's the best size tire for this set up?

Do you use any wheel spacers?
Do you use any wheel spacers?
245-70-17s are a 30.5 inch tall tire, while you can get away with running stock gearing, its so much better to go to 4.10s and have lost power and mileage back like it was stock. Doesn't shift as much out on the road etcSorry for jumping on your thread, but I have a tire size question too.
At what point do you need to look at re-gearing when moving up in tire size?
I'm running 235/65R17's on stock suspension and rims.
Looking at moving to 245/70R17's after I do an OME lift.

Would you get any rub with that wheel width on a stock rim, when turning?Assuming the 927 springs etc so 2.5 inches of lift
Moabs, 255-70-16s or 265-70-16s
you want something with a wider foot print for that wide of a wheel .
I'm running 265-70-16s on my Moabs with 2.5 inches of lift and 4.10 gearing
Depends on size lot of difference in 245-70-16s, 245-75-16s, 255-70-16s etcAlso gonna jump in because I was thinking about this the other day: When it comes to 255/70 on an 8" wheel how safe is airing down? I know on 245s you can't really air down but a 255 isn't too much wider so is airing down still borderline?
