I apologize in advanced if this has been asked before. My KK came with P225/75R16 ghetto Wranger tires. I wanted to see what is the max size that would fit. 225 seems way too narrow for a truck. I was thinking 225/80 but I am not sure. Since the wheel is so small at 16 I don't want it to look like a donut either. I was thinking Michelin as I love them on my Sedan, but please guys feel free to give me your advice. I live in NJ and was thinking of buying from either Sears, Strauss or Tirerack if I can find out who would install.

Thanks in advanced.

80 series would be more narrow then the 75.I have 245/70-16, and I think its a perfect fit.

I agree with richd. Go to 245/70/16 and also get an A/T tire. You will be glad when the snow flies, and it is a Jeep not a ghettomobile as you said.

The first number is the width of the tires, not the 2nd number.

245 = Width of Tires in Millimeters
70 = Percentage of sidewall height in relation to the width of the tire
16 = Size of wheel in inches.

Wow I can't believe I actually explained that correctly. lol3.gif

245/70R16 is a great size for the Libby.

That's great guys... Thanks so much for your help!!! By the way I just upgraded my headlight bulbs for Philips Xtreme Power +80%. I got them from Strauss for 59.99 (ouch!) I was planning on adding a Westin Bull Bar but there is no way that will look good on the KK with those tires.
