My 2004 3.7 sport has the "ticking at start-up/in the cold" issue. From reading a whole lot of threads on here and elsewhere, it appears it's likely a tensioner issue. In a previous thread, I read a quote of around $500-700, does that seem reasonable? I DO intend to get this fixed, but I wanted to get an idea of what the potential consequences of waiting a few more months might be? Is the chain likely to come off or snap? Or am I just going to have a "clicky" start-up until getting it fixed?
