Tight Steering

Hey Guys quick question,

I was wondering why the steering wheel seems a lot tougher to steer than any other car in my family? Like it's kinda hard to drive with just one hand? Anyway thanks!

Its a jeep thing..

No really, I noticed the same thing the first time I drove my Jeep back in 2004. Got use to it after a while....

I like the way it feels. Feels like power assisted steering opposed to (full)power steering like other vehicles that have the one finger steering, feel sort of sloppy and no feed back.

you are comparing a 4 wheel drive vehicle against a car? Lots of difference in weight, etc I have never noticed any difference of course I have not owned a car for years, do have a state supplied Taurus which I hate with a passion, drives like a sled compared to how well the KJ does but its free

I never noticed it to be tight thinking about it I find it to be to loose at highway speed
The '98 Ford Ranger I had came with speed sensitive steering
the faster you went the tighter it got ,very sweet
I have found it to be weak ,it will not turn in the slightest bind
when you compare that to a TJ that can bend the tie rod
I would call that weak
