I noticed today that while driving my tach doesnt always respond to rpm changes. I can drive along at a steady speed and give it a little gas, you hear the engine pick up speed but the tach needle doesnt move. It has done it a few times when decelerating as well but mostly while accelerating. The Jeep drives fine, hit the skinny pedal and it takes right off, no hesitation, but he damn tach needle doesnt always move.
Is this anything I need to be real concerned about ?? As in, will it leave me stranded somewhere on the side of the road ??
Any insight would be appreciated.

BTW, its a 2007 3.7l gas V6 automatic with 114000 miles.

Doesn't the tach start acting funny when the ckps or cps is on it's way out?
