went to my local dealer to get new radiator hoses (76k on the originals). while there, I asked the parts guy for some HOAT coolant so I could change it. I just got the Jeep, & who knows when/if it was ever changed. The guy looked at me like I had two heads & told me that Chrysler only sells two types of coolant-- green stuff, good for 33k, & pink stuff, good for five years. He looked it up & said its called DExCool --- I did not buy any. Now whatsad2.gif

Is it a Chrysler Dealership, and I mean Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealership only? If so you need to report them to Chrysler since they are violating Chrysler's policy's by not having HOAT coolant and having Dexacool.

If it was not just a Chrysler dealership and they also sold new GM products then yes they may only have Dexacool but they are in violation also.

Zerex makes HOAT coolant, called GO5(Valvoline product).

Cool,Thanks. Yes it is a multifranchise dealer ( Reedman-Toll ), but they are rather large & well known on the east coast.
