These were taken summer 2005 of a Surco roof basket on top of a late model Land Rover. Maybe it rusted because the sticker is upside down. :-k

I ask this because over here they make Surco and Thule knock offs and they all look rusty with paint chipping off.

I believe the Surco is aluminum and will not rust. The pictures you showing are of some custom mount.

I thought that, too. It doesn't look like their style. But I wasn't sure what they make for Land Rovers.

My Garvin Sport Rack began to rust after the first winter. Nothing a little grinding and Herculiner couldn't fix. Looks great now...
