I have MONROE SENSA-TRACs with my Daystar lift. Rides better than before without the lift. Not as choppy but I have better feel/control. I bought them from RockAuto and the cost was very low. I am running Durango MONROE's in the back though since I am lifted now.

I would run these again with or without the lift and have no regrets.

The only other brand that offers active valving ( you want that ) is Monroe.

Which of these ¿Reflex or Sensa-Trac? Sadly, there is no RSX struts/shocks for KJ/Durango around here (only RS)... Monroe is the best I can get...

I had the Sensa Tracs before the lift. They handled much better than stock.

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
FYI.....................

Monroe shock/struts are some of the fastest wearing junk on the market, they make them to not last to sell more,it's even stated in there advertizing(replace your junk every xxxxxx miles).

Rancho's will last you 2-4 times longer then monroe's junk.

The Monroe's did perform on road well, but it's true that they don't last very long. Less than 3 years on mine and the fronts were about shot.

How many miles? No issues here with Monroe shocks wearing too soon. I normally change shocks out every 40k-50k and have not had issues.

Maybe I have lower standards for shocks lasting then most. I don't normally keep vehicles long enough to really matter though.

that quote is why we are sold junk, most people do not keep one for 100,000 or more so they put junk shocks , springs, tires on from the factory, then people go out and put Monroes on which are about the same as what comes stock, replacing junk with junk. No one knows what a good setup suspension really even feels like then!
Ranchos do a great job and always have for me and lots of others

after searching around the interwebs i found both rancho and monroe shocks and struts are made by tenneco so monroe has to have some "quality" behind it. found the RSX17080 for the kj rear. thanks all for your responses!

Companies are paid to make shocks/tires/ whatever to the specs that another company wants or desires, so just because two different brands of shocks are made by the same company does not mean they are the same, Caddys and Chevrolets are both made by GM, are they both the same as far as quality etc , don't think so. Cooper Tire makes several different brands of tires, but all are made to what that company wants in a tire

I have run Rancho shocks on many vehicles in the past. I have had in-cab adjustables, and simple RSX's but none have overly impressed me. They were just OK to me. I prefer Bilstein over most OE replacement brands. The Monroe shocks will serve my purpose well, don't plan to keep the KJ that long anyways.

I have used NAPA Sensatracs (Monroe twin) on my vehicles for years on other vehicles (no need to replace Libby's yet). They have a lifetime warranty. I've always been given free replacements when they wear out after several years. Not sure why a company would put a lifetime warranty on "junk". They've always worked fine for me.

TJKJ2002 is kinda right on that... I work in a Traction Store (NAPA's biger brother parts for trucks and heavy duty). Rancho is owned by Monroe, Therefore, Monroe makes the shock/money deal leaving the top performance to Rancho .... Monroe isnt supposed to be bad unless your abusing them a bit... If you get throught the monroe and ask them, they are going to tell you to go to Ranchos ...
