HELP ..

My 2006 Liberty Renegade recently developed what I can only describe as a squeaking / creaking noice when I'm driving ..

Noise does not occur when in neutral / coasting - Only when trans is engaged -

Sounds similar to brake pad sensor warning tab but it's definitely not that -
Definitely doing it while wheels are rotating though .

Could it be the CV's going bad?

Anyone else experienced this noise / problem?

Thanks

Had a similar noise that I swore was coming from front wheel area. Took it in to see if it was wheel bearing noise. Turned out to be corroded backing plate in the rear where the corrosion was rubbing on my rotor.

Thanks ..

I'm seeing others posting that it was rust on rotors / brakes etc (and I really hope it's something that minor / easy to fix) but wouldn't it still make noise when the transmission wasn't engaged but the car was still moving?

This one has me baffled
