The lube Tech at the local oil change garage stripped the lower drain nut on my 6 speed transmission and can't drain the fluid. How long is OK to just leave the fluid in if it was refilled over 20k miles ago? Has anyone tried suctioning the fluid out of the Fill Nut above the Drain Nut? Should I just not worry and drive on? I don't tow or do off road much. What is your informed opinion?

I wouldn't stress too much, long term get a new plug and weld a nut onto the old one (or get a garage to do it) so it can be removed.

20k is nothing. I have only changed the oil when changing the clutch or rebuilding the trans.

I think I'd find a different "oil change" facility that can handle a drain plug before they strip the THREADS out on a drain plug and they can't keep ANY lubricant in it
