Thanks Ryan for the tour yesterday and letting me drive and get the experience what a OME lift feels like with the JBA a-arm installation. To say the least, it feels so much stronger, tighter in the cornering department. I thought I was driving a sports car, with no body roll, and accurate steering Ryan's rig felt superior to my OEM big period, no comparison.
The next photos shows the tail light which indicates the old barn find was an 1975 year.:D
Who knows, whoever owns it might call Ryan. It would need a body off, strip down and $ restoration. My guess for $6k you could have it running great and looking good too again.:)

That's pretty bizarre. Nice CJ, but if I had to guess one of two things happened there:
1.) Something happened to the owner and no one else knew that was out there.
2.) The owner was into some sketchy business and stuff went down.

I don't see how anyone could just leave that out there, especially when the trailer is in such bad shape.

Tose pictures that Tim took of the flattened trailer?
Right next door, about 120 feet away, there is a Million dollar house!
And then down the road a bit, a shack that looks like it was stapled together!
Shanty town!
Wouldn't trade it for th world though!

HJ, I think it is about 60-70 miles form Ryan's place to where photo was of collapsed trailer.
I wish we could have got a wide photo on the way up this steep mountain dirt road.
There was on house on the left that was almost finished that appeared to be 4500 Sq ft with upper balcony's/covered all the way around, and then the next property was under construction with a large cat excavating cat leveling the property. Amazing how many millions are spent on recreational properties here.

Ya, 60-70+ miles from home to Squamish.
I figure Tim clocked about 120-130+ miles on our Rig.
Gave him a great opportunity to really get a feel
of the Frankenlift.
I'm sure that just the OME coil springs and rancho shocks
would handle pretty much the same way.

Two weeks from now I want to take him up past Pemberton
to Gold Bridge and beyond to Lytton- Our local desert area.
Also way more off road stuff up there.
There is an auto grave yard up there with vehicles dating back
to the early 1900 up to the mid 1950's
Trees growing through cars.
Total photo opportunity.

I can see it now lots of old cars that are part of the forest. Very excellent photo ops.

Ya for sure Ryan Looking forward to see that. We should bring a cooler next time with some Ice tea pop etc too. I suppose with a few of us driving we could do that long 600km ring route in one day if we left early, but really that makes for bring the tents and camp somewhere is even better..

Nice find and nice pics guys! Is the Sea to Sky all 4-lane now?

I drove up to Whistler maybe 7 or 8 years ago in a rented Malibu. I hated that car...

Because of the pending 2010 Winter Olympics, Hwy99, the Sea to Sky, 4 year project, was completely made safe & new, as the tourist show case to Whistler. I think a half a billion was spent to literally go through mountains, have dividers with 4 lanes, and makes it safe from landslides and rock fall. Before this work was completed, Hwy 99 was known as the most dangerous Hwy in B.C. because of the numerous windy turns with head on collisions, as well as rocks getting ya. Here is a photo I took of the new Hwy 99 just after paving.

PS: If you look closely near the Ocean, you can see the train tracks running parallel to the road below.
They have restored the Steam Train "The Royal Hudson" and It now sits in Squamish at the Museum.
The most relaxing trip is taking the train, and ocean view is awesome!
Once or twice a year they may run the steam train with passengers as a special, to give it a good run!
