Rocker panels are rusted and need to be completely replaced, also rust inside the lower part of the doors. My garage also show me that there a little holes that have started below the car.
I rustproofed the far every year, since I've had it for the last 11 years.
It has 240,000 KMs on it. The winters up here, the salt/calcium from the words eat away at the cars, and the fact that it's an 2003, I guess time did its number on the truck.
I don't trust most body shops, would the dealer be a better shopping? I don't even know if the dealer does this and how much more they would charge.
I'd like to keep the truck as long as I can, so for me I think the rust repair would be worth it, especially if I can keep it another 3 years, or hit up to 300,000KM on it.
Your thoughts?
