I have a 2004 Liberty with the "factory" roof cross bars.
I'm looking for a hard shell roof top carrier that fits on the factory cross bars.
What box will give me some additional space (approx 12 cubic ft) and have as little affect on wind resistence (fuel mileage) as possible?
Thanks
AJ

We own a Thule roof box that I paid $350.00 for at a chain auto supply/ department store (Canadian Tire) and it has an 11 cubic foot capacity.
It does zap the fuel economy a bit and also generates quite a bit of wind noise when cruising at Highway speeds (anything over 40 miles per hour actually)
On long hauls, we also have a cargo tray that fits in the 2 inch trailer receiver that can hold an additional 500 lbs of crap.
The box has so far out lasted two of our other cars and has paid for itself more than once.

Check these guys out.
