removing sway bars on '02

my jeep is a daily driver and has never been off roading since it is 2wd. will removing the sway bars improve the ride or is it dangerous to do so?

If you remove anything, just remove the rear only. Some people notice a difference in handing - I didn't notice anything.

Removing the front swaybar (or disconnecting the links) is dangerous as it will make your KJ rather squirrely and unpredictable when cornering and at high speeds.
