Removing rear driveshaft

If it doesn't rain this weekend I'm planning to change the U-joints in my rear driveshaft. I've never had it out before. I just remove the bolts at the diff end and then slide it towards the transfer case, is that correct? Am I likely to need a persuading device (i.e. a BFH) to get it to start sliding?

Nope it should just start sliding

Yup .. and then slide the opposite direction and voila. You may need to whack the diff end a bit to break the rust if it's original.
