Removing bottom side trim piece?

I was curious to know if anyone has removed the bottom side cover along the side of the Jeep. The trim above where you would install a set of rock sliders

I was thinking of removing them but did not know what is on the other side to know if it would look pretty bad or be a big no-no to remove and keep off. I plan on getting some sliders there eventually but I really hate the way that trip piece looks.

I am refering to the plastic trim in the picture below above the skink sliders (not my picture I took it from Rock Lizards website) I wasn't really sure what that trim piece would be called so I had no clue what to search for.

On the 05-07s when that plastic is removed you are left with I think if memory serves me right 4 or 5 holes where the mounting ( plastic ) pins go in
You can get some push in covers from like Lowes etc that will fill the holes but can still be seen
Also your flares sort of cut off weird looking as well when removed

This is the best photo of mine I could find. I have had mine off for pretty much the entire time I have owned my Jeep. There are holes that run down the length of the rocker panels that the covers snap into. I don't think it looks all that bad without them there.

Mine also has a big dent in the middle from when I had the stock "rock sliders". :D

Yep in Arizona you don't have to worry about salt etc getting in the rockers when you don't plug the holes
would be so nice :console:
