Remote Car Starter Problem

I am trying to install a remote car starter in my cousins 2005 Liberty. I have purchased and programmed the transponder bypass kit.
The car will start and keep running when a key is left in the ignition, the theft light does not remain on.
The car will start and shut off when no key is left in the ignition but the bypass is installed. The theft light does not remain on.
The car will start and shut off when no key is in and the bypass is not installed. The theft light does remain on.

Since the theft light turns off I am assuming the transponder was programmed correctly.

The remote starter is a Scytek model 2000RS-2W-1

The transponder bypass is a PKU-CH2

Does anybody have any ideas as to why this will not work or how to fix it?

Never used the keyless ones but is sounds like its not programmed properly.
