Hi all,
Trying to figure out the cause for a vibration starting at ~50 mph ever since I got my 4.10 gears installed by my mechanic :\

I am thinking rear driveshaft angle is not right...
rear axle is aligned straight with the shaft - axle might even be facing upwards a bit...
is that the way it should be aligned ?

rear + front shafts already remmaned - still vibrates...

Yeah already read it and put the harmonic balancer on my checklist… couldnt find any information regarding correct shaft angle :/

Of course I immediately ask the mechanic about it which said its because of driveshaft ujoint. Replaced the ujoint and still vibrates - that's when I figured it will be a good idea to consult with someone else :)

So… can anyone suggest correct angles and confirm whether mine is ok or not ?

Are you lifted ?
If so how much?
If lift is installed what lift
need more info
but you do know if gears are not installed correctly you could have an issue there
Don't be like some and look for and replace things that don't need replacing

I am lifted using dobinsons kit + top plates and clevis in front and extra top isolator at rear

So how should I tackle this 50 mph vibration? What should I inspect in what order?
I know a wrong installation can cause this but how can I tell this is the case?

My driveshaft was a bit loose so ujoint had to be replaced anyhow I just found it wierd this started to cause vibrations exactly when car was at mechanics place :/
But I had no other option other than taking mechanics advice

even if thats not the cause for the 50 mph vibrations - still, when i look for "driveshaft angles", most images look like:
You must be registered for see images attach

which makes mine the "worst" case - is it ?

as the picture shows, front and rear must be parallel to one another like in the top example ( best )
I would have another mechanic check it out, strange it just started happening right after he did the gears

I am going to consult with another mechanic... should it be possible to change the axle/shaft angle on the libby ?

Not with just changing the gears, rear doesn't have to be pulled out to swap gears, front of course does
