Guys i just picked up a brand new trak loc off ebay dirt cheap for my liberty. My question is has anybody replaced a carrier in a 8.25 rear without using the chrysler tool to adjust carrier bearing preload? Is there enough room to tighten up these adjuster nuts with a hammer and screw driver or no? Or do i just break down and order OTC #6602 tool for about $45 shipped to my door? I read in the tech section on LOST someone installed an auburn lsd without using the tool but he highly recommended it. Anybody have any experience with this.
