Here is the first couple of photos of my rear bumper guard that I eluded to from my other thread I have in the "Lift Discussion" on my jeep and front guard I built. This is all 3/16inch thick tube. Main tube is 2.25 o.d. lowers are 1.25 o.d. It is going to have 2 tubes that come out from under attached to the receiver hitch on both sides as well and attach to the smaller side tubes. You can see in the photos the two angles I added for the tubes to attach to. I did not like the design of WAAG's because they hang low and affect departure angles and do not protect much. So I wanted mine to hug the spare and wrap to the ends of my bumper and still be removable when I wanted to. I added a 6inch receiver tube to the top of the factory receiver tube for mounting this guard and keeps it up higher under the spare which lets me add anything else to the lower receiver I want like a tow point clevis/hook, receiver ball for towing, and a high lift jack mount (may come later). I like having multi-purpose uses for everything. I welded the brackets on and extra receiver but all can be bolted on and you can use your factory receiver if you do not want to add an extra one. Also you can't tell from my pics but the ends go out to the factory bumper width and curve to follow the body lines of the bumper. Will post more as it comes to completion.
