Radio Mute

Can anyone provide information on what wire or pinout is the mute for factory installed radios, I installed a bluetooth kit and would like to use the mute function but don't want to experiment

I have a 05 renegade and it doesnt have a mute. Only if u turn the volume all the way down. then it says mute

Bob, did you ever figure this out? Yeah, a mute would be nice to have.

No, this seems to be the best kept secret around, I know the add on Mopar U- Connect has this function so there has to be a way of doing it, but I cannot find out which wire and I have done a lot of asking.

I dont think there is a single mute wire. I think a workaround would be to put a relay on the ignition wire (pin 2) that is switched by the mute of bluetooth kit.
