pulling front differential

are there any easy ways, or any write ups explaining the process on how to remove the front differential, say if you wanted to regear, install locker, and or replace the entire assembly

Pretty much remove the CV's ,front shaft,then unbolt the housing from the frame/crossmember.

I hope after replacing the ring and pinion, I can use the same shim pack configuration to ensure the gears are set.

I think i will get a shim kit aswell so i can set the preload and carrier.
