Im looking at putting some angled clear LED lights under my front doors to light up around that area. Where could I tap into to activate when the doors are opened?

TIA

I have been thinking of doing this as well, you should do a write up/how to with pics and let us all know how it went.

Not yet. We have a new truck stop in the town above me. They have a whole wall of LED lights. Our fire trucks have a 90* mount they bent to a slight angle and has round LED lights in them. They work great thats where I got the idea!

LED Lights Links (Mail Order)

Be sure to post pics of your job in progress. I wouldn't mind a set of those "puddle" lights too. Do you have a supplier yet?
In Western Canada here is a great supply of LED lights !

For the Front Floor Mat Lights I am using these High quality 3 LED (Livewell Lights) From Bluewater In USA.
They are available in different colors I chose to use the amber, which is soft and very even beam of light, perfect for floor area I also ordered a white set
that will probably find it way onto the boat.

if you want to go overboard and have an insane amount of light with a wide angle, use superflux leds. To make em dimmer, just use a resistor with a higher ohm rating (basically underpowering the leds a little bit).
If you just buy them in a housing you should be able to use velcro and leave a little extra wire so you can point them up or whatever direction you want when working on the car at night.
