Possible another addition to the family

So my dad likes my little liberty and would like one of his own. I have found a 05 with 200k miles that the key was stuck in the ignition but the guy got the key out finally but now the gear shifter will not shift out of park. I know this probably has to do with the shift interlock assembly but what is the best way for me to rig this so I can get the jeep started and driven home 5 miles lol. Because the jeep won't start and shifter wont come out of park I have the guy down a ton lol.

Drop the bottom steering column cover and find the shift interlock cable on the right side. Press the keeper-latch and slide the cable end out. That should do it.
