plastic on bulb melted into socket and lef tturn signal out

left tailight bulb melted into the socket and my left turn signal does not come on when i have headlights on. only works when i use turn signals. its a new bulb came with the chrome turn signal lens i got last week. anyone have an idea what the hell is going on with my lights?

Check that you have a good ground on the socket.....bad grounds cause funny problems like this.

Crappy bulb and/or wrong wattage. It got too hot. that's my guess.
