This for my WK, but it's a 3.7 so I figure it fits here. Probably wouldn't get a response till next Thanksgiving on the WK/XK forum. :D

Planning on doing an oil change on it tomorrow, I was getting the oil filter for it and automatically grabbed what the KJ uses. I decided to check the book, and it spec'd a different, shorter one. I've also seen this size filter replace the normal KJ filter with some brands (not any of the decent brands, but the low end brands it's replaced it).

They are identical, other than length. Same diameter.

I checked to see what it has on it now, and it has the longer type on it. So I'm inclined to use the longer one I'm used to. I checked the book for an 05 WK and it said the longer one like the KJ. Or should I stick to what the book says?

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
They changed the 3.7 to metric threads for the oil filter in '09 I believe so you can not use the older filters.

The L20195 is standard SAE threads(same as the old style 1qt Ford filters).

The L22500 is metric threads.

Thanks for the quick reply. It seems strange then that it has a longer one on it. Looks like the current one is an AC Delco.

Thanks. Put the book one on, fit fine. I'll just save the KJ one for the KJ.

Also switched it 5W30, as opposed to the factory 5W20, rather have the engine last than get 1/3 mile MPG better. :D
