NP242 won't shift out of 4hi

I cant get my tcase to shift out of 4pt into 4ft or 2wd. It has gotten progressively worse over the last few months and I don't know why. Now it will not disengage the front axle or allow any slip no matter what position it is in. what can I do?

Check/change the fluid.

Biggest causes for the 242 not to shift right are un-equal tire size and un-equal air pressure.The tires must be within 3/32"-4/32" tread depth(and same size and same brand/make of tire) and all the air pressures must be within 1-2psi of each other.
