EDIT: posted in wrong location. Where is the delete option for threads?
I am not getting any heat on either the driver side or passenger side floor when it’s turned on “floor heat.” Heat works normally on defrost and dash settings but when turned on floor heat it will blow out of the defrost instead.
I’ve looked under the dash (right of the gas pedal) by pulling away the felt and can see the two actuators. One that moves the blend door and one that moves the mode door. I can see the gear moving normally when the blend door (hot/cold) dial is adjusted on the dash but I can’t see well enough to determine if the mode gear is moving.
I would assume it is “mostly” working because I can change from defrost to dash heat/ac without issues. However, I can’t understand why it won’t kick to floor heat when I move the dial to that setting.
I’ve purchased an actuator to replace it, but am wondering if that will actually solve it since the current actuator seems to be mostly working. Could the problem be something else like a broken gear tooth which would prevent floor heat from engaging?
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
