Hello everyone! I'm new to Jeep, and obviously, new to this forum as well. I just bought an 04 Columbia Edition with 87,000 miles on it for $9,100. KBB had it listed at $10,900. So i think i did good?! I inspected it thoroughly practically crawling up inside the engine and all underneath it right there at the dealership to make sure there were no significant problems. So far i see none. Carfax shows one previous owner, regular checkups and servicing. No crashes/accidents. So this seems pretty legit! I'm from PA and have already looked at most of the rules for modifications. I've been cruising around on this site checking things out...and from what i've gathered...if i plan on lifting, i should go with OME? And if i plan on getting some front end protection and awesome recovery equipment, i should get an ARB Bull Bar with installed warn winch? I do plan to go offroading, not necessarily rock crawling though. I've got lots of guns to shoot and i need to get out far enough! =D Anyhow, if anyone has got information to share with me, please do!! And thanks for letting me be part of this community! I love it already. Pics shortly!

Welcome!! I'm from Pa too.
You'll find this forum very very useful. Good luck with the KJ.

BTW... we have rules for modifications in PA? lol with some of cars I see on the road who would have guessed that.

I know that area. I travel there/through it every now and then. The one rule I do know of is in pa vehicles are only allowed to have 4 forward facing lights on it. (example two headlamps and two fog lights). All others must have covers on them while on the road. So when I installed my Hellas on my bumper I put grille "covers" on them :p

No one enforces that rule either. I'm still waiting to see the headlights on while it's raining law to be enforced.

That is definitely good to know, I was thinking about getting some hellas while i contemplate getting an arb bull bar. So if you can have only four forward facing lights...how do they let the renegades on the streets with a lightbar? Speaking of the rain, just today i was showing my angry-driver side cursing at people for not turning on their lights while it was raining and hailing.

There are covers for the lights on the light bar. To be honest though no one enforces the rules on that light cover thing that I'm aware of. I've already driven past police in Heavy rain with my Low beams, fog lights and hellas all on at the same time.

Nice Jeep BTW. I love those painted rims. Wish mine had those. When your tires wear down you should think about getting a more aggressive tire. a Nice tire will improve the look of the jeep big time.

I just picked up a set of BFG Rugged Terrain T\A's Check them out.

Wow that's pretty surprising...I suppose it's not a big issue around here then. Those tires look pretty badass! I'm actually not a big fan of my wheels at all. Looking into getting some black ones if I can.

Thanks. I got them for 550 on tire rack. 125 for each tire and 50 to ship them. There classified as a all season on tire rack but i believe them to be a all terrain since they are more aggressive than the stock Good year SR-A's i had which are classified as all terrains. They ride really nice and road noise isn't bad at all. Hopefully the 2012/2013 Winter will bring us some serious snow and i'll be able to put them to a good test.
