If you know how to use the Internet and a Search engine, you can do it, really, I have that much faith in you anyway. You, and some others like you (well, one) are always on the devil's advocate side, for which I will not help either of you look for anything.

the ONLY place ThunderbirdJunkie found ANYTHING regarding an actual article on this junk is on...go figure...the e3 spark plug website.

Powerslave, it's not being the Devil's advocate...it's KNOWING WHAT'S RIGHT. Just because you owned the ONLY 6G series Mitsubishi engine that NEVER burned oil doesn't mean you know more than those of us who have worked on junk for a living.
If you want to piss your money away, go right ahead. You know how catalytic converters were mandated by the EPA in 1973? They're now no longer concerned with hydrocarbon emissions (which are controlled by catalytic converters) and are calling for carbon dioxide emissions reduction. Wait wat?
Basically, anything that's endorsed by the EPA gets the ThunderbirdJunkie seal of disapproval, simply because they're complete idiots.

Also, basic electrical theory will tell you multielectrode spark plugs are completely useless, since electricity always travels the path of least resistance. So why have more than ONE electrode?
Have fun with your $100 set of spark plugs. ThunderbirdJunkie will have fun with his $16 set of spark plugs and getting 22 mpg with the cruise set at 75-80 in the mountains with a tank full o' 89.

ThunderbirdJunkie agrees.

However, unlike politics and religion where EVERYBODY is wrong, with spark plugs and oil there ARE right answers

No, there is a right and wrong. And failing to cite your source shows which side you knew you were on. Just own it and move on.

Why would " an EPA guy finally do a test" on a carb'ed engine when I don't think a car with a carb has been sold here in about 20 years or so? If it sounds like BS, looks like BS, and smells like BS, guess what it probably is?

And if you only used the best, you would not have a TomTom..... :D

OSUfan, I think you will be happy with those Autolites. They have worked out for me. My factory ones were wasted like yours were. Changing them made a huge difference. Keeping a fresh air filter in seems to help my mileage out, as well.

If you smell BS, get off the farm.... Anyhow Good for you.... You and anyone else can think what they want, it's no sweat off my back, quite literally. Muscle and Drag Cars are STILL using Carburetor setups. The test was done by a person who works for the EPA, that uses the same equipment to test engines for their emissions ratings. AS I said, the results won't be as drastic with EFI, but the NOx emissions are the most important. Also, Really though? Why not just do the test yourself, duh! Simply test with your plugs with an ODBII emissions machine, print the report, then use the E3s, print the report; it's quite simple, though not as accurate, but the results with the E3s will be lower. I think you're just afraid that I will be right, and you would not be able handle it, I get it. What, no one else but me can afford to spend money?

And if you only used the best, you would not have a TomTom..... :D
TomTom are among the best for adding a simple GPS. I have a Magellan in my Company car. The best; that would be reading a MAP and doing the work yourself, with your awesome memory, actually...

See items in BOLD...

....And, who is anyone, REALLY, to dictate right and wrong when it comes to spark plugs? YOu have no authority in the matter...

Keep this thread civil. No one needs the sarcastic remarks or people talking down to each other, this goes for both sides.

Someone forgot to post how they are actually reverse engineered from the spark plugs used to power the engines on the captured UFO's in Hanger 13. Inter steller travel rewuire spark pugs in internal combustion engine. The guy who leaked this info is buried in an unmarked grave in area 51, right bewteen the fish carb. guy and the man who invented the fiberglss aircooled engine that ot 110 mpg. Big oil & the military industrial complex conspired to whack them before this tech could get out. Billy Mays was silenced to keep him from spilling it.

This same guy also had files in his archaic PC that proved the internal combustion engine was an obsolete design, before its inception. Those same aliens found in the downed space-craft were interrogated for three days before they were killed, and the information buried along with the man, who worked with the aliens in their designs; only known as Mr. Biggs. We as simple citizens can only speculate that the Big Oil companies were involved with the entire event, as they were the ones that discovered that refining oil can power the engines the car companies were designing. The alien schematics, and specific designs for the E3 spark plug would ensure their influence in what is today's automobile industry, and the deletion of using petrol in to days engines; how? The original plugs, which were actually small nuclear devices; would fuel the engine for the life of the vehicle, and the Uranium decay modifiers would rendure the plug inert once the internal fuel has been exhausted. This all could not be tolerated among government, big oil, and the big three auto manufactures. The man, and three aliens were killed, and incinerated; only their ashes are said to be left in the mysterious area we know as Area 51.

well i checked my plugs at 31,000 miles and they DEFINATELY needed changing. i used autolite platinums and i will change em out after another 30k.

judging from other user info it seems the 30k change interval is correct.

i think everyone will do fine with ngk ,autolite, or whatever as long as ya check or change em every 30k. :)

Jeez, Tony, I guess we do need a sarcasm font that translates into Espanol. :D

I don't think that I will go over 30K on my autolites, either, based on how the NGK's looked after 30K. Nasty.

Inc, My great-grandfather was Charles Champion and my uncle was David Autolight. I am the sum of 10 generations of spark plug breeding. I was raised not with a silver spoon, but a platinum spark plug. I can test a spark plug by holding it between two fingers. I once dated Missy NGK. In short, I am a spark plug Legend and my word is law!

Did that lighten it up? I thought the alien thing would...(kneel)

We DO need a sarcasm font!

Wondering if the same people that say you waste money by changing syn every 3,000 miles are the ones that buy E3 plugs?

ThunderbirdJunkie is a firm believer in snake oil. That synthetic crap is just garbage.

Only honest-to-god fresh squeezed snake oil with a Mobil 1 filter every 5,000 miles.

Because I have it to waste, no economic pressures in my household.

I change Syn every 7K or more miles.

None in mine either but one I don't brag about it and two even super rich people look for the best bang for their buck, thats why they are super rich!
:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
