I JUST got home from getting my first Jeep Liberty. It's a 2005 Sport with 6 speed.

Question: To the left of the shifter is what looks like a tiny LED light sticking up. Like it is missing a cover. The dealer had no clue. Does anyone else.

Other than that mystery, I'm liking it!

Likely some kind of aftermarket alarm. I have no such animal, and I'm sporting the same vehicle. Always nice to see a fellow 6speeder

Here is the "thing"

Also I noticed a light within one of the round instrument circles that keep coming and going that said "Type 43". Nothing in the owner's manual. Ideas?

Looks like aftermarket alarm LED.

As for the other, it isn't lit, just reflected quite well. It's the instrument cluster version,

Thanks, I just found that about the Type 43. Should have Googled it before I posted.

Appreciate your response.

The "Type 43" is a Nib *hit catcher that Jeep installed there
It's caught a lot of people over the years
Don't feel bad :shrug::happy175::happy175:

The other "light" is something the PO installed nothing factory
