Hello everyone. I finally got my Frankenlift for my '06 Renegade. Now I'm busy trying to get a rim/tire combo to make the whole thing come together. I found a rim from Moto Metal #M0956 that I like. The size available is a 16x9 with a 4.5" backspace. The rep told me that it is too aggressive for my application. My question is this... If I still buy these, what size tire would go best to still keep a 31" height? I'm thinking of getting the Revos. My goal is to get the widest stance possible without any knocking or rubbing. Thanks for your help.[http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com/Page.cfm?startreturn=1&MaxReturn=15&StartPage=1&InfoID=2505&Category1=Moto%20Metal&Category2=All&Category3=S-OffRoad&Category4=All&Search=&Sortby=url][/url]

I'd listen to the dealer. I've never seen anyone put that wide a wheel on the Liberty. The BS is one inch further out than the stock so you'll be more likely to hit the fenders and pinchweld while turning, but less likely to hit suspension parts at full lock. Haven't mentioned if you're going to wheel or just use it as a daily driver and keep the diameter down, so we're kind of the the dark a bit on helping you further.

Thanks for your reply. I will be doing off road driving. No rock crawling or anything too technical, though. I have some property in Upstate PA that I will be going to do most of the off road driving. Other than that, it is my daily driver. Is 16x8 the widest I should go?

My 16x8 245/70/16 on 5" BS wheels rub just a tad on the fog light doors with my rustys front lift.

They would probably tear the fender wheels out. O:)

Not sure, but it sounds too wide.

I'd stick with a 16x8, with 5" backspacing. That is as large as I would go.
