Hello guys and gals, I’m Jeff, I have an 03 liberty that I surprisingly love, (I was a wrangler guy) so I’ve come to you guys for help. I have a stalling issue, but there are no codes comming up that I can check. So the car all of a sudden started running sluggish, she felt...off. So driving it to run to the local gas station I stopped at a red light and the car sputtered and stalled, I let it for 5 seconds and she fired right up. When I got home I reset the computer (disconnect the battery) and it ran fine for a week. Now when I sit at a red light too long it stalls out. So my online research told me check throttle map, egr, coil packs, fuel filters. So has anyone experienced this? I’m not sure where the EGR valve is, all the videos show it only on Diesel. Starting to get a headache with this thing. It’s a 3.7 with 140k miles

It's a 3.7 liter. No EGR in it. I'm not a mechanic but sounds like it could be anything from bad gas, low fuel pressure (pump or filter) or just worn out spark plugs. I think bad coils would give a misfire. You've checked for codes or you just don;t have a CEL? When was the last time the plugs were changed? These things like the cheap copper core plugs but they only last 25-30k. Might even try a good fuel system cleaner like BG44k or Techron.

Thanks, I have fat fingers lol. So I got a CEL to come on last night (after I bought all the throttle cleaning stuff and a new air idle control sensor) and it gave me the p0340 and p1391. So I guess I’ll have to replace the cam shaft sensor and hope it diddent jump time? Have you heard anything about that one?

Ok so that code could be pointing to the problem. I'd only use Mopar sensors and you may want to replace the cam and crank sensors just to be safe. Still check out the plugs when you get a chance.
